Our history

2005 – Where It All Began The founder of Zion, Mr. Chen Weikai, discovered a foreign-made airtight zipper and was struck by the gap in the Chinese market. Motivated by the vision to create high-quality, affordable sealing zippers for China, he began building a team from scratch. Despite the lack of equipment, materials, and technical expertise, Zion committed to independent R&D from day one. 2009–2015 – Birth of Airtight Product Series While deeply focused on airtight zipper technology, our team developed dozens of new zipper types and accessories, many of which were granted patents. This period laid the technical foundation for our future innovations. 2016 – A Breakthrough: The “737” TPU Airtight Zipper After 11 years of relentless pursuit, Zion independently developed its first TPU airtight zipper, the “737” series. From materials to machinery, every element was original and self-developed, culminating in a patented product that redefined domestic zipper manufacturing. 2017 – Zion Brand Established, Production Scaled With the official launch of the “737” zipper into mass production, we expanded our manufacturing lines to five, reaching a daily output of 30,000 meters. This milestone marked the true beginning of Zion as a leading sealing zipper manufacturer. 2017–2020 – Building a Full Industrial Chain We added specialized production workshops for airtight and woven zippers, building a fully integrated supply chain. Continuous equipment upgrades and growing production capacity enabled us to meet rising market demand. 2021 – Breakthrough in Watertight Zippers Zion successfully developed a new line of watertight zippers, based on independently designed membrane-laminated hot melt sealing technology. This innovation earned a national invention patent, further solidifying our leadership in sealing technology. 2022–2024 – Launch of ZIZIP: A Global Brand To bring Chinese-made sealing zippers to the global stage, we launched the “ZIZIP” brand and secured trademarks in both domestic and international markets. ZIZIP represents the new generation of high-performance sealing zippers, engineered for excellence.
